Twenty-five 3D movies have been released so far in 2011 with a dozen more to come this fall.  Did 3D movies such as Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Thor, Sanctum and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II  make an impact on movie-goers?  Apparently not with some people, namely celebrities.

CineMovie caught up with Robert Rodriguez, Danny Trejo and other stars at a red carpet premiere to find out what their favorite 3D film has been so far, but no one seemed to have an answer.

What was your favorite 3D movie in 2011?

At the Spy Kids 4D red carpet premiere in July , Sky Kids director Robert Rodriguez,  “Falling Skies” Noah Wyle and Danny Trejo recalled their  first 3D film, but they had a little trouble initially remembering their first childhood experience with stereoscopic vision. CineMovie  then asked young celebrities Maxim Knight (“Falling Skies”), Kiernan Shipka (“Mad Men”) and Disney Channel’s Bella Thorne (“Shake It Up’) to name their favorite 3D movie of the summer for which they had no answer.

With so many films in 3D, is it coming to the point where they all blend together.

This Fall expect a dozen more 3D films coming at you such as Hugo, Piranha 3DD, Happy Feet Two, The Three Musketeers, The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn, Immortals, Puss In Boots, A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas, Arthur Christmas, and too many more to name.

Do you have a favorite 3D movie from 2011?
