New 'Sonic The Hedgehog 2' Trailer Introduces Knuckles Voiced By Idris Elba

Jim Carrey's Dr. Robotnik joins forces with Sonic nemesis Knuckles to capture the hedgehog but Sonic at least has back up with Tails voiced by the same actress (Colleen O'Shaughnessey) from the SEGA games. Watch the new trailer and check out the latest poster.
James Marsden, Jim Carrey, Tika Sumpter, Adam Pally and Ben Schwartz returning as the voice of Sonic are back with Elba and Shemar Moore (S.W.A.T., Criminal Minds) joining the cast.
It seems Sonic will not be able to outrun the kooky doctor this time with Knuckles on the villain's side. The new preview certainly suggest we're in for quite a ride.
SONIC THE HEDGEHOG 2 will be in movie theaters on April 8, 2022.
Official Synopsis
The world’s favorite blue hedgehog is back for a next-level adventure in SONIC THE HEDGEHOG 2. After settling in Green Hills, Sonic is eager to prove he has what it takes to be a true hero. His test comes when Dr. Robotnik returns, this time with a new partner, Knuckles, in search for an emerald that has the power to destroy civilizations. Sonic teams up with his own sidekick, Tails, and together they embark on a globe-trotting journey to find the emerald before it falls into the wrong hands.
