Charlize Theron returns as Andy, the battle-scarred warrior who's led her team of immortals through centuries of conflict — but this time, the stakes are even higher with Uma Thurman joining the fray. In THE OLD GUARD 2, the team is fractured, old enemies resurface, and the very nature of their immortality is called into question.
The action-filled trailer features Thurman's character seeking revenge against Andy (Theron), who is no longer immortal. By the end of the trailer, the two go up against each other with swords.
Directed by Victoria Mahoney, this adrenaline-fueled sequel picks up in the aftermath of betrayal and vengeance. Booker (Matthias Schoenaerts) remains in exile, while Quynh (Veronica Ngô), having escaped her underwater tomb, is out for revenge. Andy is grappling with her newfound mortality, forcing her to fight not just for the world — but for herself.
Reuniting with Nile (KiKi Layne), Joe (Marwan Kenzari), Nicky (Luca Marinelli), and James Copley (Chiwetel Ejiofor), Andy seeks answers — and turns to Tuah (Henry Golding), a figure from her distant past who may hold the key to unlocking the truth behind their immortal fate.
SYNOPSIS: Andy (Charlize Theron) and her team of immortal warriors are back, with a renewed sense of purpose in their mission to protect the world. With Booker (Matthias Schoenaerts) still in exile after his betrayal, and Quynh (Veronica Ngô) out for revenge after escaping her underwater prison, Andy grapples with her newfound mortality as a mysterious threat emerges that could jeopardize everything she’s worked towards for thousands of years. Andy, Nile (KiKi Layne), Joe (Marwan Kenzari), Nicky (Luca Marinelli) and James Copley (Chiwetel Ejiofor) enlist the help of Tuah (Henry Golding), an old friend who may provide the key to unlocking the mystery behind immortal existence.
