Chris Colfer takes his act from the small screen to the big one for his writing debut in STRUCK BY LIGHTNING. Watch the preview from the Mean Girls and Easy A-inpsired comedy from a male's perspective.
The "Glee" star not only wrote the screenplay for STRUCK BY LIGHTNING but is executive producing the comedy which also stars other television stars such as "Mad Men's" Christina Hendricks," Modern Family's" Sarah Hyland, "The Office's"  Angela Kinsey,  and Dermot Mulroney and Allison Janney as Colfer's on-screen parents.

In STRUCK BY LIGHTNING Colfer doesn't bellow out any show tunes, but the 21-year-old is once again tackling portraying an outcast in a high school setting. High school student and overachiever Carson Phillips (Colfer) has big dreams to become the editor of a large publication but in order to do so, he must become a literary genius on campus. Along with another outcast played by the hilarious Rebel Wilson (Bridesmaids), he blackmails the popular mean kids into writing for his magazine.

The preview of STRUCK BY LIGHTNING obviously has an feeling of male version of Mean Girls (Lindsay Lohan) and Emma Stone's Easy A, and with Saved!'s Brian Dannelly directing, Colfer's writing debut should make for an interesting one to watch for.

STRUCK BY LIGHTNING is now playing in movie theaters.
