Filmmaking 101: Conversation with 'Waves' Director Trey Edward Shultz

WAVES director and writer Trey Edward Shults (IT COMES AT NIGHT) is receiving a lot of acclaim for his beautifully-shot film which takes you into the lives of a black suburban family. CineMovie sat down with the director/writer to discuss his cinematic choices.

WAVES stars Sterling K. BrownKelvin Harrison Jr. ("Godfather of Harlem") Taylor Russell ("Lost in Space") and Alexa Demie (HBO's "Euphoria"). WAVES has a profound impact on the viewer with the subject matter, and the way he places the camera so that the viewer feels immersed in the character's dilemmas and feelings. We sat down with the director and writer to talk about his unique vision for this masterful piece.
