New Trailer Review: 'Tom & Jerry' Live-Action Hybrid is Just Weird

TOM & JERRY, the most famous cat and mouse from the Hanna Barbera animated shorts, get a live-action hybrid movie starring alongside human actors Chloe Grace Moretz and Michael Peña. Warner Bros. has released a new trailer, and fans like myself don't know what to make of it. This cat-and-mouse game doesn't quite translate.

All of our favorite characters from the STAR WARS universe unite in “The LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special” airing on Disney+ starting Tuesday, November 17. The first few minutes are a bore, but once Rey starts her journey to revisit past Jedi master and apprentice relationships, the holiday special becomes a blast. It's definitely better than the 1978 special for those who remember that cheesy tv event. Watch video review.

Meet Real Teacher Who Inspired John Leguizamo's 'Critical Thinking' Character

Based on a true story from 1998, John Leguizamo plays real-life teacher Mario Martinez in CRITICAL THINKING. The high school teacher coached and inspired five Latino and Black teenagers from a disadvantaged area of Miami to win the National Chess Championship. CineMovie talks to Mr. Martinez about the inspirational story along with executive producer Carla Berkowitz who fought for 23 years to bring the story to life with first-time director Leguizamo at the helm.

Latinos are not a homogenous group, yet when media celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month we’re lumped into one category. Rotten Tomatoes recently published a list of movies celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month, but their list consisted of all Spanish language films, and left out American-based stories. The bicultural experience in America is different from their parent's homeland no matter your race.
