Dimitri Logothetis, the writer-director behind KICKBOXER: RETALIATION combines sci-fi with martial arts in JIU JITSU, a new film starring Nicolas Cage, Alain Moussi, Frank Grillo, Rick Yune, Marie Avgeropoulos, JuJu Chan and Tony Jaa. Paramount Pictures has decided to release the film digitally versus a theatrical release perhaps due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Or is it a sign the film that sees the return of Murphy in a beloved role may not be a worthy follow-up. If it has James Earl Jones returning as King Jaffe Joffer, we don't care. Iconic director William Friedkin, now 85, recounts the making of THE EXORCIST in the 103 min documentary LEAP OF FAITH: WILLIAM FRIEDKIN ON THE EXORCIST airing on Shudder starting November 19th. If you're a fan of the EXORCIST, LEAP OF FAITH is very insightful and if you're a filmmaker, it's a master class in Friedkin's aesthetic and process.

Wednesday Warner Bros. announced WONDER WOMAN 1984 will be coming to HBO Max on the same day as the release of the DCEU movie in theaters. Director Patty Jenkins and star Gal Gadot tweeted out the reasoning behind the huge announcement.

The fifth installment of the SCREAM franchise has wrapped, and with that came the announcement of the official title from creator of the franchise, Kevin Williamson. Simply titled SCREAM, Paramount Pictures and Spyglass Media Group will release the new film on January 14, 2022.

All of our favorite characters from the STAR WARS universe unite in “The LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special” airing on Disney+ starting Tuesday, November 17. The first few minutes are a bore, but once Rey starts her journey to revisit past Jedi master and apprentice relationships, the holiday special becomes a blast. It's definitely better than the 1978 special for those who remember that cheesy tv event. Watch video review.
