There was lots of confusion regarding the new Boba Fett series coming December 2021. Many like myself were speculating it would be an entirely separate project from THE MANDALORIAN or whether the OG bounty hunter would take over the reigns of "The Mandalorian." Disney and Jon Favreau confirmed Monday morning that THE BOOK OF BOBA FETT is indeed a standalone Disney+ series starring Temuera Morrison and Ming-Na Wen.

"The Office" gained even more popularity streaming on Netflix but now the show starring Steve Carell, John Krasinski, Rainn Wilson and Jenna Fisher is leaving the streaming platform and going back home to NBC's new streaming platform, Peacock. The news was announced in a creative manner via Dunder Mifflin letterhead. Every single episode of "The Office" USA will be made available along with tons of extras such as bloopers, deleted scenes, SuperFan episodes and more. And you get a Marvel series! You and you get a Marvel series! It seems the Avengers are assembling once again but on Disney+. Aside from Jeremy Renner, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany, Tom Hiddleston, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie and a baby tree, Groot, their fellow Avengers Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury, Don Cheadle's War Machine/James Rhoades and Ben Mendlesohn's Skrull character will each reprise their roles for spin-offs on Disney+. There will be a GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Holiday special and Groot shorts as well. Along with the previously announced new characters getting a series, a few more iconic comic book characters are joining the MCU. On Thursday the The Walt Disney Company’s Investor Day event, Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy announced Taika Waititi will indeed direct a new STAR WARS movie, and Patty Jenkins has joined the universe for ROGUE SQUADRON, a film focused on strarfighter pilots in-training. Waititi's STAR WARS film has no title or focus but Kennedy promised a "fresh" and "funny" approach.

The STAR WARS franchise on Disney+ is about to expand so that we may never leave our homes again. Thursday at the The Walt Disney Company’s Investor Day event, Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy announced an exciting array of STAR WARS spin-offs coming to Disney's streaming channel in addition to the Obi-Wan Kenobi and ROGUE ONE spin-off with Diego Luna. Seven new series are in the works for Lando Calrissian, Ahsoka, and lesser known figures. One of the biggest news was the return of Hayden Christensen as Darth Vader. Now streaming on Disney+ is SAFETY, the real-life story of Clemson University football SAFETY Ray McElrathbey played by Jay Reeves who secretly smuggled his 11-year old brother Fahmarr portrayed by Thaddeus J. Mixson into the dorm rooms while playing college football at Clemson University. He was willing to choose his brother over his athletic career but the college community eventually rallied around him and his young brother. The cast and director Reginald Hudlin talked about the film over a Zoom conference. CineMovie had the opportunity to ask Jay and Ray about this endearing story.
