'Rogue One: A Star Wars Story' Review: The Darkest Movie of the Franchise

Diego Luna and Felicity Jones in ROGUE ONE

EMPIRE STRIKES BACK was the darkest and grittiest of the STAR WARS film that is until ROGUE ONE:  A STAR WARS STORY.  Unlike other STAR WARS films, there are no cutesy-elements like R2-D2, the Ewoks or BB-8, and the light-hearted moments are kept to a minimum. While the film fits into the George Lucas universe with familiar elements, this is a far more serious film. Director Gareth Edwards has made this film his own.

New 'Baywatch' Trailer Review

Baywatch movie Dwayne Johnson

No one has high hopes for a movie screen adaptation of the cheesy 90s television show named BAYWATCH, so the new trailer for the movie starring Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron shouldn't be a disappointment, but actually it is. The new trailer lays out the simplistic plot in a cookie cutter fashion. There's nothing smart about the big screen approach at least from what we can see in the first preview, but will anybody care as long as The Rock and Zac Efron flash those muscles, and the women parade their bods like in the original?  What do you think about the trailer?

Makoto Shinkai Your Name Director CineMovie interview

There have been a handful of “body switching” narratives that Hollywood has played around with over the years--Freaky Friday, The Hot Chick, Vice Versa, and the list goes on. These films always seem to fall under the atrocious--guilty pleasure category and don’t generally make that “Marvel” money. Despite the trend, Japanese director Makoto Shinkai, has taken his anime switching-places film, YOUR NAME, and propelled it to become the second highest grossing Japanese title of all time! In fact, his picture is now in the running to be crowned the Best Animated Feature at the Oscars.

Iron Man and Spider-Man Team Up in First Spider-Man: Homecoming Trailer

Jimmy Kimmel premiered the new SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING trailer on his show Thursday night, and the first official preview didn't play coy like most superhero films do with their first looks. In the SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING trailer, we get the Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) and Peter Parker (Tom Holland) relationship as well as a look at the Vulture and a tease of Michael Keaton, and best of all, Iron Man soaring alongside Spider-Man. What's not to like.
