Stephen King's "The Stand" is getting another adaptation for CBS All Access starring James Marsden, Odessa Young, Alexander Skarsgård and Amber Heard. Odessa Young says the show which deals with a deadly virus wiping out humans shouldn't be a hard watch even with the world going through COVID-19. Watch the interview below.

The filmed version of the hit Broadway musical “Hamilton” from Lin-Manuel Miranda will be available for the world to see on Disney+ July 3rd. For many of us (like myself) who have not had the pleasure of seeing it live, “Hamilton” the movie version will certainly be a thrill to watch judging from the trailer which brings the stage musical to life on film. Joseph Gordon-Levitt stars in the hijacking thriller, 7500 by first time feature film director Patrick Vollrath. Shot entirely on a decommissioned Airbus A320, the Oscar nominated director took an experimental approach to the thriller with improvised camera movements and dialogue in 20 to 30 minute takes.

Voter suppression is a hot button issue right now, and Oscar-nominated and Emmy-winning filmmaker Liz Garbus and Oscar-nominated filmmaker Lisa Cortés tackle the subject in an Untitled Voting Rights documentary featuring former Alabama gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams which Amazon Studios has acquired. The announcement doesn’t reveal whether the documentary will stream before the 2020 primaries in November but that it will be this year. See the official press release.

Since Comic Con in San Diego is no longer happening in person but online in light of the pandemic, DC is bringing their own virtual fan experience for free on Saturday, August 22 for a 24-hour event showcasing their DC universe of upcoming feature films, comics, WB games and tv and streaming shows. That includes exclusive footage reveal for THE SUICIDE SQUAD, WONDER WOMAN 1984 and Zack Snyder's cut of JUSTICE LEAGUE. The best part is that it's open to all for free.

In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic and the Black Lives Matter protests, the LGBTQ community is also part of the conversation when it comes to equal rights. A new Hulu series, "Love, Victor" tackles the subject with a coming of age story starring Michael Cimino (ANABELLE COMES HOME) as Victor and Ana Ortiz (“Whiskey Cavalier,” “Ugly Betty”) as mom. As movie theaters set to reopen in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic at half-capacity or with no restrictions at all in places like Georgia, the summer blockbusters are revving to go but Warner Bros. has decided to move WONDER WOMAN 1984 from August to October. Warner Bros.' other high-profile movie TENET, directed by Christopher Nolan, was pushed back two weeks to July 31st. BILL & TED FACE THE MUSIC, on the other hand, moved up their release two weeks to August 14, the date left open by the WONDER WOMAN sequel change.
