Arthur | Hanna | Born To Be Wild 3D | Your Highness |
A remake, a good-old fashioned action film, a raunchy comedy and a wild life documentary enter the box office race for the weekend of April 8th.
Hollywood A-listers dominate the movies this weekend with Oscar winners Helen Mirren (Arthur) and Natalie Portman (Your Highness) going for laughs in the two comedies opening this weekend. James Franco, Danny McBride, and Natalie Portman take raunchy comedy to medieval times while Russell Brand steps into Dudley Moore's drunken shoes as Arthur in a remake to the 1981 film with a clever switch from a butler to a nanny played by Helen Mirren.
Eric Bana returns to movie theaters after a long break (The Time Traveler's Wife, 2009) with the action thriller Hanna, starring Saoirse Ronan as a 16-year-old assassin. On the opposite side of the spectrum is the heart-warming IMAX 3D film Born To Be Wild, a documentary about two women who run orphanages for baby elephants and orangutans.
What film will you be seeing? What film do you predict will take the #1 spot at the box office?

Arthur
In this fresh new look at a classic story, Russell Brand reinvents the role of loveable billionaire Arthur Bach, an irresponsible charmer who has always relied on two things to get by: his limitless fortune and the good sense of his lifelong nanny and best friend Hobson (Helen Mirren), to keep him out of trouble.
To keep his fortune, Arthur is forced to propose to Susan played by Jennifer Garner. Kind-hearted, fun-loving, and utterly without purpose, Arthur spends every day in the heedless pursuit of amusement. But when his unpredictable public image threatens the staid reputation of the family foundation, Bach Worldwide, he is given an ultimatum: marry the beautiful but decidedly unlovable Susan Johnson, an ambitious corporate exec who can keep him in line, or say goodbye to his billion-dollar inheritance and the only way of life he knows.

Hanna
Award-winning director Joe Wright creates a boldly original suspense thriller with HANNA, starring Academy Award nominee Saoirse Ronan (The Lovely Bones, Atonement) in the title role. Known for directing dramatic films (The Soloist, Atonement), director Joe Wright takes on the action genre with top acting talent leading the action-packed thriller with a catchy score by The Chemical Brothers.
Raised by her father (Eric Bana of Star Trek), an ex-CIA man, in the wilds of Finland, Hanna’s upbringing and training have been one and the same, all geared to making her the perfect assassin. The turning point in her adolescence is a sharp one; sent into the world by her father on a mission, Hanna journeys stealthily across Europe while eluding agents dispatched after her by a ruthless intelligence operative with secrets of her own (Academy Award winner Cate Blanchett). As she nears her ultimate target, Hanna faces startling revelations about her existence and unexpected questions about her humanity.
