Apple TV+'s Severance led in wins at the second night of the 2nd Annual HC TV awards Streaming Edition with five wins including a win for Ben Stiller for directing in a streaming service. Hulu's Dopesick followed with four statues, one going to Michael Keaton for Best Actor and Hacks scored three wins. The Hollywood Critics Association announced the hosts for the upcoming 2022 HCA TV Awards on Saturday, August 13 and Sunday, August 14. The Daily Show with Trevor Noah correspondent Dulcé Sloan will host the first night which is dedicated Broadcast & Cable while stand-up comic, actor and writer Tig Notaro will host night two dedicated to the streaming categories. The press release also announced Mandy Moore will be honored this year with the Virtuoso Award on Saturday. On Thursday, the Hollywood Critics Association announced the nominees for the 1st Annual HCA TV Awards to be held on August 22. HBO, NBC, and Netflix came out on top with nearly 30 nominations followed by Apple TV, HBO Max, and Disney+.
