MOVIE TRAILER: Javier Bardem Stars in BIUTIFUL

Javier Bardem and director Alejandro Gonzalez Iñarritu (Amores Perros, Babel) are already garnering rave reviews on the festival circuit for their new film BIUTIFUL, a love story between a father and his children. Watch the trailer preview above.

Movie Review: BIUTIFUL

Along with Academy Award winner Javier Bardem, Maricel Alvarez, Eduard Fernandez, Diaryatou Daff, Cheng Tai Shen and Luo Jin also star in the drama about a man in a free fall. On the road to redemption, darkness lights his way. Connected with the afterlife, Uxbal (Bardem)  is a tragic hero and father of two who's sensing the danger of death. He struggles with a tainted reality and a fate that works against him in order to forgive, for love, and forever.  This film will be released in NY, LA and Miami with expansion to additional US cities in 2011.

Javier Bardem stars in BIUTIFUL

Biutiful” is a love story between a father and his children. This is the journey of Uxbal, a conflicted man who struggles to reconcile fatherhood, love, spirituality, crime, guilt and mortality amidst the dangerous underworld of modern Barcelona. His livelihood is earned out of bounds, his sacrifices for his children know no bounds. Like life itself, this is a circular tale that ends where it begins. As fate encircles him and thresholds are crossed, a dim, redemptive road brightens, illuminating the inheritances bestowed from father to child, and the paternal guiding hand that navigates life’s corridors, whether bright, bad – or biutiful.
