Starz show Vida tackles issues of gentrification in East Los Angeles. The show's stars Chelsea Rendon ("The Fosters") and Carlos Miranda can relate to the controversial subject that displaces residences. The stars also tell CineMovie how “Vida” is a half–hour drama series focusing on two Mexican–American sisters from the Eastside of Los Angeles who couldn’t be more different or distanced from each other. Circumstances force them to return to their old neighborhood, where they are confronted by the past and surprising truth about their mother’s identity. This illuminative series explores identity, culture, gender and sexuality through the lens of a Latinx family and their community. "Vida" will return for another season next year. You can stream the compelling first season series now on the STARZ's app.
