Everyone knows the rags-to-riches story of Jenni Rivera, la Diva de la Banda, and the personal struggles she overcame, but Telemundo’s new series JENNI RIVERA: MARIPOSA DE BARRIO premiering Tuesday, June 27 at 8 pm/7c gives fans more insight into her turbulent early years from childhood, a teen mom with an abusive husband to the superstar she became. The series focuses on the woman behind the music, and it’s not always pretty. Mexican actress Samadhi Zendejas portrays Jenni as a teen mom and wife while actor Gabriel Porras plays her father. Both actors talks about the importance of not only telling Jenni Rivera’s story, but that of a woman who could be anyone.

What man (or woman) wouldn’t pay to roll around a shag carpet with Scarlett Johansson. Luckily for actor Enrique Murciano he got a paycheck to do just that in the raunchy comedy ROUGH NIGHT starring Johansson, Jillian Bell (22 JUMP STREET), Kate McKinnon (SNL), Zoe Kravitz (BIG LITTLE LIES) and Ilana Glazer (BROAD CITY). Murciano tells CineMovie says he was in awe of all the ladies but mostly Jillian Bell who he calls a comedic ‘genius.’

Annie Ilonzeh and Kat Graham play two of the three most important women in Tupac Shakur's life in the biopic ALL EYEZ ON ME. Ilonzeh plays the rapper's fiance and Quincy Jones' daughter Kadida Jones while Kat Graham portrays Jada Pinkett, Shakur's close friend. Mandy Moore and Claire Holt acted underwater for 90% of the movie for 47 METERS DOWN, and it wasn't easy. The actresses spent 6 to 7 hours under water for weeks during the production. Not only did they have to act 20 feet below the water surface, but they had to be conscious of their breathing techniques. Like in the movie, they could experience serious health issues if they weren't careful. The heroines of 47 METER DOWN explain their experience to CineMovie and why they had to yell "cut" to the man swimming around in a plastic shark head.

Steven Bauer must be the go-to guy to play narcos. The actor is best known for his role as Manny Ribera alongside Al Pacino in SCARFACE (1983), and he's played a drug cartel boss in TRAFFIC, and on AMC's series BREAKING BAD. The Cuban-American actor resisted playing another crime boss when first approached for a role in USA's QUEEN OF THE SOUTH season 2, but he tells CineMovie a QUEEN OF THE SOUTH producer convinced the RAY DONOVAN star it would be worth his while.
