Michael Bay replaced the human cast as well as some of the Transformers, but what the franchise really needs is a change in director and writer. Even with a new cast, TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION treads familiar ground and feels like more of the same. Of course we go for the spectacle, but why can't we get a good story to go along with it?

The home release of DESPICABLE ME 2 has broken industry records for an animated title as it goes on to debut with a $80 million in Blu-ray and DVD sales for the first week. That shouldn't be too much of a surprise since the Blu-ray and DVD release included three extra mini-movies featuring the lovable minions.
Visual effects supervisor Scott Stokdyk has worked with director Sam Raimi on all three of the Spiderman movies, but working on OZ: THE GREAT AND POWERFUL was the greatest challenge yet with every single frame of environment having been created from scratch. Scott talks to CineMovie about the unique task of making the world of OZ and the difference between using blue and green screen.
