Even Hollywood stars aren't exempt from the apocalypse. From the doped out mind of Seth Rogen and his writing/co-directing partner Evan Goldberg comes a hilarious movie where Seth and his Hollywood friends like James Franco, Emma Watson, Jonah Hill and others plays themselves in a movie about the end of the world. In THIS IS THE END trailer, Rihanna, Jason Segel, Michael Cera, Aziz Ansari all get killed off when aliens invade Earth.
Even the rich and famous aren't immune to the end of the world as Seth Rogen imagines in this crazy concept for a movie in which his fellow actors play along as themselves. Aside from the A-listers names above, Paul Rudd, Jay Baruchel, Mindy Kaling, Kevin Hart, Danny McBride, and Craig Robinson also make fun of themselves in this hilarious-looking end of the world spoof on the Mayan due date. Someone on YouTube joked the movie should be titled "Pineapple Express 2" which doesn't sound so crazy given its a lot of the same actors. So how do you get all these top names in one place? James Franco has a party with the Hollywood elite and some other random people when tragedy strikes and the world is on fire with aliens attacking the human race. Only six of the Hollywood pals survive the initial attack and hide out in the house, but cabin fever soon sets in. Emma Watson makes a cameo with a shovel, menacing the men to hand over their dwindling supplies. "Hermione stole our sh**!," proclaims Danny McBride in the preview.
Let's hope the ending isn't predictable and they all wake up from a bad head trip.
Directed by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, the end of the world for these Hollywood actors begins June 12, 2013.
