Austin Butler captures the charisma of Elvis and those expressive eyes. Tom Hanks gets the job done as the despicable and manipulative manager.

Jensen Ackles' casting as Soldier Boy in The Boys was accidental, says showrunner Eric Kripke. Kripke, the creator behind Supernatural, was catching up with Jensen during a call when Kripke told him he was having trouble finding an older actor to play the leader of the superhero group Payback from the comic book. He then thought to ask Jensen whether he was interested, and the Supernatural actor said yes but he had to convince the other producers and Amazon executive to hire him.
