Moon Knight had the least additional photography days in Marvel history according to producer Mohamad Diab. Oscar Isaac, Ethan Hawke and newcomer Maya Calamawy and the Disney+ producers credit that to the many rehearsals and table reads where they worked out the story and the characters. As a newcomer, Calamawy was the lone woman among the largely male cast and crew but she felt empowered by her colleagues to voice her opinions about her Layla persona. The actors and producers recently discussed how they improved on the MOON KNIGHT series by working it out at table reads.
