To mark Hispanic Heritage Month this month, Comcast launched the first ever Hispanic Film Festival, featuring 20 Spanish-language film from Latin America and Spain. The On Demand programming highlights the best of Latin Culture with films and special segments on Hispanic entertainers, cuisine, and Latino music.
The multi-platform Hispanic Film Festival offers award-winning movies for free to Xfinity On Demand and Xfinity.com/latinotv customers. The offering began September 15 and will run through October 15, 2011. Films such as Pan's Labyrinth and The Motorcycle Diaries will be part of the movies offered. In addition to movies, viewers can select to watch biographies on Salma Hayek, Jennifer Lopez, Selena Gomez, The Iglesias Family, Eva Longoria, Jenni Rivera, and Vicente Fernandez
In addition, customers can also highlight the movies that they love by voting on their favorites.

Para celebrar el Mes de la Herencia Hispana, Comcast ofrece su primer Festival de Cine Hispano en múltiples plataformas, con 20 películas laureadas e independientes de América Latina y España, a través de Xfinity On Demand y Xfinity.com/latinotv. La programación está disponible gratuitamente para los clientes de video digital de Xfinity a partir de hoy hasta el 15 de octubre.
"Preparamos una robusta oferta de películas muy aclamadas para brindarle a los hispanos una programación mucho más relevante que pueden disfrutar en XfinityTV, cuando lo deseen y como lo deseen, toda disponible gratuitamente", comentó Marcien Jenckes, Vicepresidente Sénior y Gerente General de Servicios de Video de Comcast. "Comcast está dedicado a ofrecerle a la comunidad hispana contenido a la medida, de primera en múltiples plataformas".
Además de la oferta cinematográfica del Festival de Cine Hispano, los clientes también podrán disfrutar de especiales que reflejan la gente, los paisajes, la cocina y la música de Latinoamérica, incluyendo programación sobre algunos de los principales artistas hispanos de alrededor del mundo.
Los clientes de video digital de Comcast podrán acceder a esta programación especial hasta el 15 de octubre. Cada mes, Comcast le brinda a sus clientes hispanos cientos de opciones de programación diaria, incluyendo películas, música, series de TV y canales hispanos de TV abierta y por cable. Comcast recientemente triplicó y superó su oferta de programación hispana On Demand y actualmente ofrece más de 60 canales hispanos en muchos de los principales mercados de Estados Unidos – el mayor paquete de canales en español de cualquier proveedor de TV por cable o satélite. Además Comcast ofrece todas las películas de estreno con la opción de audio en español de SAP (Second Audio Program).
