Only one more week before Scully (Gillian Anderson) and Mulder (David Duchovny) reunite on the 6-episode return of THE X-FILES. A new spot reveals a lot more than we’ve even seen including a UFO crash landing, and the show seems to be incorporating recent headlines with scenes of social unrest. That definitely makes it much more relevant in today’s landscape and why not blame it on the aliens.

2016 is kicking off with a much more diverse slate on primetime television with 5 mid-season replacements featuring Latino leads. Jennifer Lopez, America Ferrera, Eva Longoria, and George Lopez return to television in half-hour sitcoms. Also joining the television slate includes an animated comedy titled “Bordertown” from the producer from Family Guy featuring the voices of Nicolas Gonzales and Hank Azaria. After Sunday night's mid-season finale to "The Walking Dead," AMC released a special prologue introducing Negan's group called the Saviors. Negan is Rick's groups next nemesis on THE WALKING DEAD, and unfortunately for Daryl, Abraham and Sasha they are the first to encounter the group.

America Ferrera returns to television as the star and producer in NBC’s mid-season replacement "Superstore," a workplace comedy. The make-up of the cast is reminiscent of "The Office’s" employees which is no accident since Justin Spitzer, the co-executive producer and writer from "The Office’" is now serving as "Superstore’s" executive producer. Ferrera spoke about her return to television at a Los Angeles press conference with the cast and executive producer on the NBC/ Universal backlot.

Eva Longoria (Desperate Housewives) and America Ferrera (Ugly Betty) return to television with their own television comedy series as mid-season replacements in January, but viewers will be getting early previews in November and December. Eva Longoria stars in “Telenovela” as a telenovela star while Ferrera leads the cast in “Superstore,” a workplace comedy. NBC has announced a sneak peek at both shows for two consecutive Mondays in late November and early December behind live episodes of “The Voice.”
