Warner Bros. Announced 'The Batman' and Other DC Movies Delayed Release Dates

Warner Bros. has moved around some of their movie release dates due to the coronavirus lockdown including a bunch of DC Movies. THE BATMAN starring Robert Pattinson ceased production amid the nationwide shutdown of business as usual as well as delayed the start of production of other films in their slate including "The Sopranos" prequel movie. Depending on when production can resume, Warner Bros. may change the dates again, but here is what they are planning for their upcoming slate.

Watch parties have become popular during the coronavirus lockdown and Lionsgate is joining the fun with its own interactive tune-in every Friday with Jamie Lee Curtis hosting to benefit furloughed movie theater employees. One of Lionsgate popular titles, THE HUNGER GAMES, DIRTY DANCING, LA LA LAND and JOHN WICK, will air every Friday starting April 17 for four weeks. The communal experience includes real-time fan chats, movie trivia and challenges.

Walt Disney Studios Release New Film Dates For Marvel, 'Mulan,' 'Free Guy,' 'Indiana Jones 5'

The Walt Disney Studios released new dates for just some of their films but not all. MULAN, Marvel's BLACK WIDOW, FREE GUY (starring Ryan Reynolds) were pushed to later this year and others like JUNGLE BOOK to 2021. Pixar's SOUL will remain on its original date of June 19. The new Marvel slate is also out beyond 2021. ARTEMIS FOWL will now premiere exclusively on Disney+ but no timeframe was announced. 'Wonder Woman 1984' Not Streaming But Delayed For Theatrical Release

Originally slated for June 5, Warner Bros. and the filmmakers are not taking any chances with the coronavirus crisis which many have predicted will play out until the summer.

Disney announced Thursday MULAN, ANTLERS and THE NEW MUTANTS will not be released as scheduled while Sony took action sooner than that moving the next James Bond film, NO TIME TO DIE to November. Other titles were also canceled, some with new release dates and others with no new date. Check the list below.

James Gunn took to social media to announce the cast line-up for SUICIDE SQUAD. Joel Kinnaman, Viola Davis, Margot Robbie and Jai Courtney are returning as previously reported. New to the cast are Peter Capaldi of "Doctor Who" fame, John Cena, Nathan Fillion, Taika Waititi, GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY alum Michael Rooker and Sean Gunn, Storm Reid and others. There are a few Latino names in the mix which is always good news as it should be with such a large cast.
