Movie Trailer: Scott Pilgrim vs. the World

Director Edgar Wright turned the zombie-genre on its head with the cult hit Shaun of the Dead and then the police buddy comedy in Hot Fuzz.  In his latest feature film, Edgar Wright tackles a comic book adaptation blending different genres in SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD starring Superbad's Michael Cera, Twilight's Anna Kendrick and Fantastic Four's Chris Evans

Meet charming and jobless Scott Pilgrim (Michael Cera). A bass guitarist for garage band Sex Bob-omb, the 22-year-old has just met the girl of his dreams...literally. The only catch to winning Ramona Flowers (Mary Elizabeth Winstead)? Her seven evil exes are coming to kill him.

Genre-smashing filmmaker Edgar Wright tells the amazing story of one romantic slacker’s quest to power up with love in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. Scott Pilgrim has never had a problem getting a girlfriend. It’s getting rid of them that proves difficult. From the girl who kicked his heart’s ass—and now is back in town—to the teenage distraction he’s trying to shake when Ramona rollerblades into his world, love hasn’t been easy. He soon discovers, however, his new crush has the most unusual baggage of all: a nefarious league of exes controls her love life and will do whatever it takes to eliminate him as a suitor. As Scott gets closer to Ramona, he must face an increasingly vicious rogues’ gallery from her past—from infamous skateboarders to vegan rock stars and fearsome identical twins. And if he hopes to win his true love, he must vanquish them all before it really is game over.

Universal Pictures released a new trailer version for Robin Hood starring Russell Crowe with more action scenes and featuring more of Cate Blanchett as a feisty  Maid Marian.

Gladiator director and star reunite once again for another epic tale -- Robin Hood.  Could this be Ridley Scott and Russell Crowe's Gladiator with tights?  If the Robin Hood trailer and tv spot are any indication, audiences are in for a Gladiator-style rush of good movie making.  For starters, Russell Crowe is luckily not in tights and the costumes are grade A.  Should be good.

Movie Trailer: Get Him To The Greek

Get Him to the Greek reunites Jonah Hill and Russell Brand with Forgetting Sarah Marshall director Nicholas Stoller in the story of a record company executive with three days to drag an uncooperative rock legend to Hollywood for a comeback concert.  The comedy is the latest film from producer Judd Apatow (The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Knocked Up, Funny People).

Aaron Green (Hill) gets things done.  The ambitious 24-year-old has been given a career-making assignment.  His mission: Fly to London and escort a rock god to L.A.’s world famous Greek Theatre for the first-stop on a huge comeback tour.  His record mogul boss, Sergio Roma (Sean Combs), gives him one warning: “The artist is the worst person on Earth.  Turn your back on him at your own peril.”

British rocker Aldous Snow (Brand) is a brilliant musician, but due to a bad break up and nose-diving career, has fallen off the wagon and is now a drunken disaster.  Weary of “yes men” and scared he’s entered the “greatest hits” moment in his career, Snow’s in the midst of a nihilistic downward spiral.  When he learns his true love, model/pop star Jackie Q (Rose Byrne), is in Los Angeles, Aldous makes it his quest to win her back…right before kick-starting his world domination.

As the countdown to the concert begins, one innocent young man must navigate a minefield of London drug smuggles, New York City brawls and Vegas lap dances to deliver his charge safe and, sort of, sound… all while trying to remain faithful to his med student girlfriend (Elisabeth Moss).  He may have to coax, lie to, enable and party with Aldous, but Aaron will get him to the Greek.
