CAPTAIN MARVEL isn't going down as one of the best Marvel movies, but it's definitely entertaining and feels more like a STAR TREK movie than a Marvel outing. That's not a bad thing. It has lots of merits, and CAPTAIN MARVEL is a great movie for young girls or anyone whose told they can't achieve their dreams. By the end, there's no doubt Captain Marvel will pound Thanos to dust in ENDGAME.

Sequels rarely live up to the original with a few exceptions, and DEADPOOL 2 is one of them. Tons of surprises, fake outs and cameos along with the humor and foul language we've come to expect from the merc with the mouth make this follow-up a worthy companion.

BLACK PANTHER isn’t just a blockbuster superhero movie. For a lot of people, specifically people of color and women, it’s the chance to see yourself reflected on the screen and feeling empowered. The Marvel movie poses a lot of questions about how we are as a people, our history of oppression and the responsibility that comes with having power. Big action pieces are often mindless popcorn flicks, but that's not the case with BLACK PANTHER.

The premise behind the new horror flick, WINCHESTER is original but not the scares. The Spierig Brothers (JIGSAW, PREDESTINATION) directors bring lots of jump scares but not much else to the film starring Helen Mirren and Jason Clarke.

STAR WARS: THE LAST EPISODE has so many surprises and twists the two and half-hours go flyng by quickly. Director Rian Johnson has taken risks with the latest chapter in the STAR WARS saga that have paid off. All the elements that make the original's special are present in THE LAST JEDI. Awesome space battles, drama, comedy, nods to the original, jaw-dropping moments, and a few light saber battles leave you cheering and gasping. Best of all there's no Death Star, but the FIRST ORDER has even more dangerous weapons at their disposal. Here's our short but sweet review of STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI with no spoilers.

Superhero movies as of late take themselves too seriously with dark imagery and themes that remind us of the turmoil going on in real life. That all changes with THOR: RAGNAROK, a film that interjects some rock n' roll flavor into the tiring superhero franchise.

The time has arrived to judge the sequel to BLADE RUNNER starring Ryan Gosling, Harrison Ford, Robin Wright, Ana de Armas, Jared Leto and Mackenzie Davis ("Halt and Catch Fire"). Directed by Denis Villaneuve (ARRIVAL, SICARIO, PRISONERS), BLADE RUNNER 2049 opens October 6, but movie fans won't get the chance at an early screening as Warner Bros. is keeping the movie under wraps until it hits theaters. A few select press saw the movie including CineMovie and we were sworn to secrecy regarding the plot and twists in BLADE RUNNER 2049.
