Held at the San Diego Convention Center weekend of July 13, Comic Con 2012 brought out all the major filmmakers such as Guillermo Del Toro, Tim Burton, Sami Raimi, Peter Jackson and stars like Total Recall stars Colin Farrell, Kate Beckinsale, Jessica Biel, Mila Kunis, Michelle Williams, Ian McKellen, Jamie Foxx, Matt Damon and tons more.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and The Hobbit: There and Back Again Panel
Peter Jackson, Martin Freeman, Andy Serkis, Ian McKellen and surprise guest Elijah Wood spoke at the panel for the much anticipated Hobbit prequel. Twelve and a half minutes of footage was shown from behind the scenes. Unfortunately, the exclusive footage is not part of this video from ramascreen.com, but you get to watch the panel and fans interact.
OZ: THE GREAT AND POWERFUL
Another prequel to a popular adaptation comes to the big screen courtesy of Sami Raimi (Evil Dead, Spiderman movies). In this video interview with the Spiderman director from the press line at Comic Con, Sam Raimi talks about the source material for Oz: The Great and Powerful and why he wanted to make the film.
Frankenweenie
Tim Burton arrives to Comic Con for the first time since the 1970s to promote his stop-motion film Frankenweenie. On the Comic Com press line, the director talks about his influences from monster movies from his time and why the animation is the same from when he first conceived the short film over 20 years ago.
Man of Steel
Director Zack Snyder unveiled the new teaser poster for the Superman reboot starring Henry Cavill who was also in attendance at the yearly geek convention. The first footage from Man of Steel was presented and by all media accounts, the new retelling of the super hero definitely takes a dark path to a much gloomier flying superhero.
Marvel Movies: Thor 2, Captain America 2, Ant-Man, Guardians of the Galaxy
Marvel made some very special announcements at Comic Con 2012 with new titles for Thor and Captain America sequels, and the news of a new potential franchise hitting the big screen with Guardians of the Galaxy, and if that wasn't enough, Ant-Man director Edgar Wright brought along some never-before-seen footage from the long-awaited Marvel insect man.
Marvel executive Kevin Feige announced the Thor sequel starring Chris Hemsworth will be entitled Thor: The Dark World while Chris Evans return as Captain America will take on The Winter Soldier as part of it's sequel name. Kevin Feige also announced Zachary Levi joins the Thor 2 cast as Fandral.
Feige also talked up the relatively unknown Captain America: The Winter Soldier directors the Russo Brothers; "You may not know now, but next year when they're sitting here with the footage, you will know them and will become as big a fan as I am."
Marvel didn't end the special announcements there. The Marvel universe on the big screen will now extend to another one of their comic book properties - Guardians of the Galaxy. The first conceptual art from the new adaptation was shown along with the featured characters - Drax The Destoyer, Starlord, Rocket Raccoon, Gamora, and Brute. The new ensemble is set for release August 1, 2014
Ant-Man
Directo Edgar Wright joined Kevin Feige on stage to promote another comic book adaptation currently shooting - Ant-Man. Co-written by Wright and Attack the Block director Joe Cornish, Wright edited footage from Ant-Man to show to audience members. Too bad that part was cut out in this video due to copyright issues.
Iron Man 3
Robert Downey Jr. made a grand entrance at Comic Con 2012 appearing in the audience and dancing his way through the crowd up to the stage to join the panel for IRON MAN 3.

Pacific Rim
Pacific Rim director Guillermo Del Toro brought special footage from his monsters vs. human-manned robots movie to show fans at Comic Con. IGN gives their impression of the exclusive footage.
Godzilla Teaser poster
The biggest surprise of Comic Con was the announcement of another Godzilla movie directed by Gareth Edwards. Apparently footage was shown from the secretive project with a teaser poster reveal.
Dexter 2-minute preview of Season 8
Dexter fans can't wait to tune into the season 8 premiere of Dexter when his sister Jen catches him in the act. Michael C. Hall made a special appearance at Comic Con and presented the first 2-minutes of the season premiere. Dexter creator has announced this will be the last season for the popular Showtime series.
