Director Quentin Tarantino has come out with his annual Best and Worst List of 2011. While many await award season time, most cinephiles hold their breath every year for the eccentric filmmaker's list of favorite films. Good luck trying to get on his official website - the huge traffic to his blog has caused the site to slow down. But we've got you covered - see a list of Quentin Tarantino's pick.
The Inglourious Basterds director posted on the Quentin Tarantino archives website his top 11 movie choices from last year. Among them are award favorites such as Midnight in Paris, Moneyball, The Artist and Young Adult but most are also mainstream blockbusters like Rise of the Planet of the Apes and X-Men:First Class which made our favorites from last year too. Not to toot our own horn, but two of CineMovie's underrated films of 2011 made the list like Warrior and Attack the Block.
The one that will have fans scratching their heads is his eleventh choice - The Three Musketeers. That film made many's worst list for 2011, but Quentin's stamp of approval will certainly help boast future DVD and Blu-ray rentals for the Paul W.S Anderson film. Speaking of worst, he lists Zack Snyder's Sucker Punch, Straw Dogs, and Paranormal Activity 3 as his least favorites of last year.
The Kill Bill director extended his lists to include "Others" he like and the "Nice Try Awards." Check out the complete list below.
