Actor Gabriel Chavarria has landed a main role in the third movie in the Planet of the Apes reboot wtih director Matt Reeves taking the helm once again. The series regular on Hulu's "East Los High" is also in another high-profile film for Universal with Low Riders starring alongside Demian Bichir, Eva Longoria and Supergirl Melissa Benoist. Details for the new Apes movie are scarce including which actors will return but it is titled War of the Planet of the Apes and The Hollywood Reporter claims Rise of the Planet of the Apes writer Mark Bomback will also return. We won't be seeing the third movie in the franchise for awhile, but Chavarria's other project, Low Riders is set for release in 2016.
