First 'Creed II' Trailer and New Movie Poster: It's Creed vs Drago Round 2

First 'Creed II' Trailer and New Movie Poster: It's Creed vs Drago Round 2

Creed II Michael B Jordan

Adonis meets his father's killer and his son in the first look at CREED II starring Michael B. Jordan. Ivan Drago's (Dolph Lundgren) son is following in his footsteps and nobody wants Adonis to fight the Russian boxer in the new trailer.

Tessa Thompson, Rocky Balboa himself Sylvestor Stallone and Phylicia Rashad also return in the sequel to CREED along with Michael B. Jordan. In the new preview, no one wants Adonis Creed to take on Drago's son in the ring. At one point, we see Adonis badly beaten and in the hospital.

Ryan Coogler Jr. isn't directing the follow up but returns as executive producer. Steven Caple Jr. (THE LAND) takes the helm. Sylvestor Stallone is credited as the sole screenwriter which may explain the familiarity to the story.

Life has become a balancing act for Adonis Creed. Between personal obligations and training for his next big fight, he is up against the challenge of his life. Facing an opponent with ties to his family's past only intensifies his impending battle in the ring. Rocky Balboa is there by his side through it all and, together, Rocky and Adonis will confront their shared legacy, question what's worth fighting for, and discover that nothing's more important than family. Creed II is about going back to basics to rediscover what made you a champion in the first place, and remembering that, no matter where you go, you can't escape your history.

CREED II opens Thanksgiving weekend on November 21.
