On January 25th, get ready to see Jeremy Renner (The Bourne Legacy, The Avengers) and Gemma Arterton (Quantum of Solace) slay some evil witches. Famke Janssen finally returns to playing a villain as the main witch Muriel. We last saw her play evil as the Bond girl in Goldeneye who can kill with her hips, and then she went rogue in X-:Men from Jean Grey to evil twin Phoenix. In HANSEL & GRETEL: WITCH HUNTERS (3D), Hansel and Gretel are no longer the innocent children of the fairytale, but they become the ultimate vigilantes, hell bent on retribution. Now, unbeknownst to them, Hansel and Gretel have become the hunted, and must face an evil far greater than witches...their past.
HANSEL & GRETEL: WITCH HUNTERS was originally supposed to be released in 2012, but a few setbacks and the decision to convert to 3D delayed the fantasy horror flick, directed by Norwegian Tommy Wirkola, to January 25, 2013.
