We know Scarlett Johansson can kick butt on screen as an Avenger but she's doing it on her own in Luc Besson's action thriller, LUCY. If Luc Besson is behind the camera, LUCY should be one to watch for this testosterone-filled summer.
Luc Besson has brought us some of the toughest chicks on screen in La Femme Nikita, The Fifth Element (Milla Jovovich) and The Professional (Natalie Portman) so we have high hopes for this action thriller set in a foreign land and starring Scarlett Johansson and Morgan Freeman.
Scarlett Johansson is Lucy, a party girl caught up with the wrong people when she wakes up from a night of clubbing only to find out her stomach has been stapled closed with a bag of drugs inside her. When she's kicked in the stomach, the drug leaks into her body but she's becoming stronger and smarter. She's able to download information at a fast rate a la The Matrix.
Now that we've seen the LUCY trailer, we can't to see the combo of Luc Besson and Scarlett Johansson on the big screen starting August 8, 2014.
