Sin City 2 Adds More A-Listers To Cast

Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Josh Brolin join the ever-growing list of actors for the Sin City sequel - SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR.

Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller's Sin City follow up is becoming the largest ensemble for 2013. Dimension films announced Gangster Squad's Josh Brolin will play the character of Dwight while Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Looper, Lincoln) signs on for the role of Johnny in the October 4th release.  The production of SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR is already under way in Rodriguez's Troublemaker Studios in Austin, Texas with returning cast members Mickey Rourke as “Marv,” Jessica Alba as “Nancy,” Rosario Dawson as “Gail” and Jaime King as “Goldie/Wendy.”

Brolin and Gordon-Levitt aren't the only new faces in the Rodriguez and Miller co-directed sequel. Dennis Haysbert ("Manute) and Jamie Chung ("Miho") are part of the  star studded ensemble.  According to Dimension's press release, the part of the "Dame" has not been cast.

Based on Frank Miller's graphic novel, the screenplay by Miller combines two of his classic stories which takes place in a town full of repulsive inhabitants. The story takes place prior to the first film, and explains how Dwight, a character favorite, comes into his new face.

SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR opens October 4, 2013.  Can't wait to see the billing on that movie poster.
