Why Does Eli Roth's 'Thanksgiving' Trailer Look Familiar?

Thanksgiving trailer with Patrick Demsey and Gina Gershon

A Pilgrim-looking serial killer is on the loose in Eli Roth's THANKSGIVING, and the trailer may seem familiar. Roth created a mock trailer as a segment in Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez's 2007 GRINDHOUSE. Sixteen years later, Roth kept his promise to deliver the actual movie based on that initial idea.

In your run-of-the-mill horror movie, a tragedy after a Black Friday riot inspires a Thanksgiving killer to terrorize the birthplace of the festive holiday - Plymouth, Massachusetts. One by one victims are brutally murdered, and Roth brings on his usual gore fest in this first preview.

The horror movie stars Patrick Demsey, Addison Rae and Gina Gershon.

As expected, the holiday killing spree begins on November 17 in movie theaters.
