Yes, folks.  There will be another Scary Movie and "High School Musical's" Ashley Tisdale will be one of the leads in Dimension Films' SCARY MOVIE 5, the latest installment in the SCARY MOVIE franchise.

A staple of the Disney Channel (The Suite Life of Zack & Cody) and best known for her role as Sharpay Evans in Disney's "High School Musical" franchise, the 27-year-old will bring her comedy chops to the series lampooning the latest horror and genre trends. Tisdale joins director Malcolm Lee (The Best Man, Soul Brothers, Undercover Brother) along with rumored cast members and Scary Movie alums Regina Hall and Anthony Anderson ("Law & Order").  The Scary Movie franchise which launched Anna Faris' career has grossed over $800 million worldwide.

According to IMDB, the plot centers around three dancers who are also best friends vying for the coveted role in a new production by an overbearing director.

Dimension also announced Malcolm Lee will be teaming up with the legendary comedy director behind AIRPLANE, THE NAKED GUN franchises and Scary Movie 3 & 4 director David Zucker to co-write and produce SCARY MOVIE 5.

SCARY MOVIE will be released sometime in 2013.
