Disney is diversifying their princesses with the first Latina royalty hitting the Disney Channel on July 22 with the animated series, "Elena of Avalor" Aimee Carrero voices the Disney princess, and CineMovie's Ferrrnando (with 3 R's) Duran sits down with the actress to talk about the significance of her role.
Disney's "Elena of Avalor" centers on Elena, the new ruler of Avalor, and she battles evil witches and sorcerers to save her kingdom, while also battling humans who don't believe she can rule.
ELENA OF AVALOR airs on the Disney Channel starting July 22.
