Adrianne & The Castle is one of those documentaries that feels straight out of a fairytale — but it’s all true. It follows Alan St-George, a mascot-maker and artist living in rural Illinois, who spent years building an incredibly detailed, hand-crafted castle with his late wife, Adrianne.
I sat down with Alan and filmmaker Shannon Walsh (The Gig Is Up, Illusions of Control) to talk about the couple’s magical, theatrical world and how the film captures their deep love, creativity, and heartbreaking loss.
