Mexican-born actress Vico Escorcia joined Apple TV's Acapulco in season 3 as Eugenio Derbez's daughter. The Mexican-French actress spoke with CineMovie about her new role in the series, which many fans are calling the ‘Mexican Ted Lasso. She reveals the wrap party for the final season was like an epic rager.
The 10-episode fourth and final season is currently streaming exclusively on Apple TV+, and will be followed by one new episode every Wednesday through September 17.

Vico Escorcia is a promising Mexican-French actress who recently starred in one of the highest-grossing films of 2024, “Una Pequeña Confusión,” alongside Ana de la Reguera, Juanpa Zurita, and Cristo Fernández, as well as in “Firma Aquí” with Regina Blandón. She also appears in “¡Que Viva México!” directed by Luis Estrada, alongside Alfonso Herrera and Damián Alcázar. Vico recently starred as the lead in two independent international features: the Mexican-produced “Disdain,” currently being submitted to festivals around the globe, and the bilingual Spanish/Catalan film “Femení Singular,” shot in Barcelona.
Besides Acapulco for Apple TV, her television credits include “Mujeres Asesinas” and the biographical series “Se Llamaba Pedro Infante” for Vix, portraying Lupita Torrentera, one of Infante’s most iconic romantic partners. Vico can also be seen in the second season of Amazon’s hit series “Ana,” as well as in “Sterling” for HBO, “Texas Rising” for the History Channel, and “APB” for FOX. Earlier in her career, she was part of the series “Paramédicos,” produced by Lemon Films and aired on Canal Once.
Vico has been nominated for two Ariel Awards (Mexican Academy Awards) for her performances in the films Eddie Reynolds y los Ángeles de Acero, and Los Crímenes del Mar del Norte.
