Harry Styles makes his feature film debut in Christopher Nolan's war time thriller, DUNKIRK. The One Direction frontman explained to CineMovie how he approached the role as a first time actor in DUNKIRK under the direction of the master of filmmaking, Christopher Nolan. His up-and-coming co-stars also chime in on their first time experience. Watch interview below as well as the full 30 minute interview.

DUNKIRK is based real historical events during World War II when Allied and British troops were stranded on a French beach surrounded by enemy forces. The story unfolds on land, sea and air.  The British military doesn't have the resources to rescue the men so hundreds of small boats manned by military and civilians attempt to rescue the soliders.

DUNKIRK stars Tom Hardy (MAD MAX: FURY ROAD), Mark Rylance (BRIDGE OF SPIES, THE BFG), Cilian Murphy and up-and-coming actors including Harry Styles who like his other co-stars makes his big screen feature film debut.

At the Los Angeles press conference held in the historic Barker Hanger in Santa Monica, Calif. Styles, Fionn Whitehead, Jack Lowden and Barry Keoghan reveal what acting advice they took from director Christopher Nolan. Veteran actor Mark Rylance also speaks to the power of Nolan as a director.

DUNKIRK is in movie theaters July 21.
