Jake Gyllenhaal On Dating Latinas (Video)

END OF WATCH director David Ayer gave some dating advice to Jake Gyllenhaal while shooting the film.  "Date a Mexican woman," he told the star of the gritty urban drama.  Jake ended up improvising the line in the film, but would he take that advice in real life?

Jake Gyllenhaal stars alongside Michael Peña in the David Ayer directed END OF WATCH. The two actors play Los Angeles Police Department partners, and in a casual conversation during one of their beats, Michael Peña's married character tells the single Jake Gyllenhaal to date a Mexican woman like his wife. Gyllenhaal teases that he's not interested in talking about quinceñeras and cousins. Peña's character then mimics what white people sound like when talking about the baristas and lattes.

CineMovie's Pili Montilla sat down with the two actors and asked Jake about taking that advice in real life. "Of course, I have," he responded. He tells us the line was improvised during that scene to incorporate what director David Ayer kept telling him on set. "He's got my back. And I trust him," he said about the END OF WATCH director.

Jake Gyllenhaal also produced END OF WATCH.  END OF WATCH, now playing, has been a hit with audiences and critics.
