Before Keanu Reeves inhabited the John Wick character, STREET KINGS director David Ayer (SUICIDE SQUAD, FURY) toughened up the actor to play a rogue LAPD cop. In a 2008 flashback interview with the filmmaker, Ayer told CineMovie Reeves researched his role by speaking to Ayer's police friends and practicing shooting guns at the gun range, something he continued doing for the JOHN WICK movies.
