James Cameron’s Avatar franchise just added another massive milestone to its record-breaking legacy. Avatar: Fire and Ash has officially crossed $1 billion worldwide, proving once again that Pandora remains one of the most powerful cinematic destinations on the planet.
The latest installment becomes the third Avatar film to surpass $1 billion globally, placing the franchise in rarefied air. With this achievement, Avatar now boasts a staggering $6.35 billion total global box office, reinforcing its status as one of the most successful franchises in movie history.

Fire and Ash has grossed $1.083 billion to date, including $306 million domestically and $777.1 million internationally, driven by strong premium-format demand and sustained overseas play. Internationally, the film delivered standout performances in key markets such as China ($138M), France ($81M), Germany ($64M), and Korea ($44M), ranking as the #2 global MPA release of 2025.
The milestone also marks Disney’s third billion-dollar release of 2025, following Zootopia 2 and Lilo & Stitch, underscoring the studio’s dominant year at the global box office.
