Xfinity brought E.T. back to life alongside his friend Elliot played by Henry Thomas for the digital company's holiday message to stay in touch. Be ready to shed a tear when you see this four-minute short that reunites Elliot and E.T.
Thirty eight years later, Elliot has a family of his own. The short replicates some of the iconic moments from the 1982 movie directed by Steven Spielberg.
The four-minute commercial is the perfect sequel in that it brings back the iconic movie character in a short amount of time without the disappointment that usually comes with sequels.
Early this year, Google recreated HOME ALONE with Macauley Culkin which may have inspired this reunion.
