Photos: The Mandalorian and Grogu's Pedro Pascal, Grogu, And Jon Favreau Thrill Fans At CCXP Mexico

Pedro Pascal, Star Wars: The Mandalorian director Jon Favreau, and Grogu stopped by the annual CCXP Convention in Mexico City to promote Lucasfilm's next Star Wars project. See the photos from the event.

Following an exclusive Star Wars franchise sizzle reel and a stunt featuring Stormtroopers and a light show, Pedro, Jon and Grogu took to the stage at Centro Banamex to give more than 2,000 fans in attendance a special preview of the all-new Star Wars film.

Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu, filmed for IMAX®, opens in movie theaters on May 22. Tickets are already on sale.


Synopsis
The evil Empire has fallen, and Imperial warlords remain scattered throughout the galaxy. As the fledgling New Republic works to protect everything the Rebellion fought for, they have enlisted the help of legendary Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and his young apprentice Grogu. 

Directed by Jon Favreau, Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu is written by Jon Favreau & Dave Filoni & Noah Kloor, and is produced by Kathleen Kennedy, p.g.a., Ian Bryce, p.g.a., Jon Favreau, p.g.a., and Dave Filoni, p.g.a., with Karen Gilchrist, John Bartnicki, and Carrie Beck serving as executive producers. The music is composed by Ludwig Göransson.
