Thursday morning, Tom Cruise and director Christopher McQuarrie shared on Instagram the official title for the sixth film in the MISSION IMPOSSIBLE franchise. On a second Instagram post, he shared the first image from MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE FALLOUT of him hanging off a helicopter. He's running out of things to hold on to dear life for these movies. What's next - a space shuttle?
Tom Cruise also captioned the second photo with a promise of bigger action stunts. "We've upped the ante for the sixth #MissionImpossible. I can’t wait for you guys to see more," he wrote on his second Instagram post. Cruise just joined the social media platform so he's cruising for more followers.
And where there is a reveal, there's a trailer coming soon. The plot of MISSION IMPOSSIBLE 6 is unknown but it stars Henry Cavill with a villainy mustache, Alec Baldwin, Angela Bassett and The Crown's Vanessa Kirby. Returning favorites include Simon Pegg and Michelle Monaghan who is listed on IMDB so expect some sort of reunion between the old lovers. Scene-stealer Rebecca Ferguson from MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE - ROGUE NATION returns to the franchise as well, and may cause a triangle is Monaghan indeed returns to the franchise.
MISSION IMPOSSIBLE: FALLOUT is in movie theaters July 27.
