Gael Garcia Bernal and Kate Hudson in A Llittle Bit of Heaven

Gael Garcia Bernal finally gets his shot as a leading man in an American film in A LITTLE BIT OF HEAVEN, a romantic dramedy alongside chick flick queen Kate Hudson.   A new trailer has arrived for the May release film.

Set in New Orleans, Kate Hudson plays Marley,a free spirit afraid of committing to a relationship until she finds out there is something far more scarier.  She is diagnosed with cancer by doctor Gael Garcia Bernal. They start a relationship and Marley finds herself opening herself up to true love but is it too late?   A LITTLE BIT OF HEAVEN also stars "Game of Thrones'" Peter Dinklage, Kathy Bates, Whoopi Goldberg, Romany Malco, Treat Williams and Steven Weber.

Gael Garcia Bernal is also tackling the American action hero as the new futuristic Zorro in Zorro Reborn.  The Mexican actor has recently taken on leading roles in American films, something he avoided in the past when he's worked largely in independent cinema.

 

A LITTLE BIT OF HEAVEN is in movie theatres May 4, 2012.
