BATTLESHIP Movie Clip: Rihanna, Big Guns, and Aliens

Good thing Rihanna didn't chose a romantic comedy to make her film debut.  Instead the Grammy Award-winning singer opted to join the navy as a petty office in BATTLESHIP taking on aliens with an arsenal of weapons at her disposal.  In this clip from BATTLESHIP, Rihanna shows the alien invaders who's boss.

Rihanna is front and center on screen throughout the movie alongside BATTLESHIP star Taylor Kitsch.  Far from her sexy and provocative singing persona, Rihanna's character is Petty Officer Cora "Weps" Raikes, a naval soldier tasked with firing the ship's missiles. Even without make-up, the Barbados beauty can't help but look glamorous. Taking on this unlikely role in the action-packed spectacular will likely help her acting career since she's proved her charisma translates onto the big screen as well.

Rihanna continues her foray into acting with roles in 2013 films The End of the World with Jonah Hill, James Franco, and she's rumored to have joined the cast of The Fast and the Furious 6.   Watch trailer.
