The world’s most iconic lifeguards are heading back to television. FOX Entertainment and Fremantle have announced an open casting call for the upcoming Baywatch reboot, inviting aspiring actors to audition for a wide range of roles in the new action-packed series. Set against the sun-drenched Southern California coast, the reimagined Baywatch promises new faces, daring rescues, and fresh adventures—while honoring the legacy of the global phenomenon.
First debuting in 1989, Baywatch became the most-watched TV series in the world, launching the careers of stars like David Hasselhoff, Pamela Anderson, and Jason Momoa. The reboot aims to capture that same adrenaline-fueled spirit—updated for a new generation with contemporary stakes, modern storytelling, and a renewed mission to protect Southern California’s shoreline.
The open call is seeking dynamic talent ages 18 and up of all genders and ethnicities, with opportunities spanning series regulars, recurring characters, walk-ons, and more. Roles include lifeguards, beachgoers, bartenders, love interests, rescuers, and rescuees, with additional characters still in development. Performers are encouraged to arrive “Baywatch-ready,” sporting a beach-appropriate wardrobe that’s polished and professional.
