Peacock debuted the teaser trailer and first look images at the New York Comic Con this past weekend for Simu Liu and Melissa Barrera's espionage thriller series, The Copenhagen Test. The teaser gives us our first glimpse into the world of The Copenhagen Test: high stakes, paranoia, and a protagonist whose own mind may not be his own. The series premieres on December 27.
The Peacock series comes from James Wan's Atomic Monster and UCP. Liu is also listed as an executive producer.
Simu Liu stars as Alexander Hale, a first-generation Chinese-American intelligence analyst. Early in the teaser, Hale realizes something is deeply wrong: *his brain has been hacked. Every sound he hears and every sight he sees can be accessed by unknown hackers. Trapped between his own agency and the forces violating his mind, he must put on a performance 24/7 to determine *who* is responsible and prove where his allegiances truly lie.
At a panel held on Sunday, October 12, Simu Liu—star and executive producer—and the showrunners Thomas Brandon and Jennifer Yale unveiled the teaser trailer. Alongside the teaser, Peacock confirmed that The Copenhagen Test will premiere on December 27, 2025, exclusively on Peacock.
