The Lyon family drama comes to a head as they fight off the Dubois family in the Season 3 finale of EMPIRE Wednesday night. Last we saw the Lyons, there was some double crossing by Andre (Trai Byers), but he promised it was for the family. CineMovie recently spoke with EMPIRE star Jussie Smollett who reveals what's next for Jamal and the rest of the Lyon family in the season ender.

Smollet can also be seen in Ridley Scott's ALIEN: COVENANT now playing in movie theaters, but it's his role in EMPIRE that has everyone talking. The EMPIRE actor reveals what must happen for the Lyon family to see it through the dueling family power play.
“We finally get to see the Lyons realizing that they’ve got to stop all this petty in-fighting.There’s still be drama. There still be death. Cookie one liners.It’s time for the Lyons to come together. They’re left with no other choice.”
Regardless if the Lyon family comes together to fight their common enemy, as Smollett promises, there will be no shortage of internal drama. After all, EMPIRE will return for a Season 4 in the fall, so the cliffhanger should be good.
