Talk about a great pairing. Hollywood's hottest leading lady Angelina Jolie (Salt, Wanted) and everyone's favorite movie star Johnny Depp (Alice in Wonderland, Public Enemy) share the big screen in the action thriller THE TOURIST opening December 10.
After Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz failed to spark lightning in Knight & Day this summer, THE TOURIST is sure to get audiences in the movie seats for Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp's on screen hook-up. And if the trailer is any indication, the action looks entertaining in the vain of Mr. and Mrs. Smith, another Angelina Jolie spy vehicle.
Johnny Depp stars as an American tourist whose playful dalliance with a stranger leads to a web of intrigue, romance and danger in The Tourist. During an impromptu trip to Europe to mend a broken heart, Frank (Depp) unexpectedly finds himself in a flirtatious encounter with Elise (Angelina Jolie), an extraordinary woman who deliberately crosses his path. Against the breathtaking backdrop of Paris and Venice, their whirlwind romance quickly evolves as they find themselves unwittingly thrust into a deadly game of cat and mouse.
THE TOURIST also stars Paul Bettany, Rufus Sewell, and former James Bond Timothy Dalton.
