The Mario Moreno biopic CANTINFLAS has been selected to represent Mexico in the 2015 Academy Awards for the Best Foreign Language Film.
CANTINFLAS has yet to open in Mexico but the good word of mouth from the United States opening has spread worldwide.

CineMovie talks to the star of CANTINFLAS who reveals what he did to embody two personalities for the new biopic. In his research for the role, Jaenada feels Mario Moreno felt restricted as an artist because he couldn’t get out of the shadow of Cantinflas’ popularity.

Mexican singer, songwriter and producer Aleks Syntek contributes a beautiful song to the Mario Moreno aka Cantinflas biopic opening August 29th. Cantinflas holds a special memory for the Mexican crooner so much so that he insisted on writing an original theme versus covering an existing song from the time period.
